Listen… I’m not a small gal. I’ve struggled with weight since before I can remember, and it’s just the issue that I have battled with more than anything else. I’ve been up and down and seen the scale say many different numbers, and right now… let’s just say I’m really far up. Like a lot of women, I have struggled with body image as well. I know this is an issue that goes beyond size- most of us struggle with body image in some way regardless of the number on the scale.
So… I was dreading swimsuit season this year. None of my suits fit me. And I was sure I was going to be going to the beach in a muumuu.
They have an amazingly HUGE selection of GORGEOUS bathing suits for women of ALL SIZES! Hooray! Being a plus size no longer means that we have to go to the beach looking frumpy and 70 years old. {Are you jumping too?}
I LOVE the suits they sent me. They are beautiful, and I feel good in them. Like- actually good. I didn’t think that was going to be possible this year. While I know that health is so important and I will always be striving to improve my health, I also want my mental health to be just as good- and that includes loving myself despite the flaws I see in the mirror.
I just love them both! I love the floral one- a great print, while still getting a nice flattering black. And how cute is the back? I like that there is a lot of coverage but it still feels really sexy.
And the black Becca ETC Venise swimdress? Oh my. I never thought I would love a plus-size swimsuit as much as I love this one! It’s perfect! It’s adorable- I just can’t get enough of the lace detail. And I am so enjoying the hint of cleavage that is still tasteful- bonus.
